The objects for which the Alliance is established are to: - promote and protect the collective interests and activities of all Members and assist them in attaining their objectives;
- provide an opportunity for the sharing of knowledge and information amongst Members;
- encourage and maximise the collective representation of Sports Persons;
- represent the collective interests of Sports Persons in relation to legislation and government policy including, without limitation, in relation to issues pertaining to industrial relations, drugs in sport, privacy, taxation, intellectual property and civil liberties;
- lobby governments and parliaments to repeal any law which discriminates, or fails to adequately protect, Sports Persons, and to replace that law with a protective law which does not discriminate;
- conduct events, activities and communication initiatives which promote the Alliance, its Members and Sports Persons;
- enter into commercial arrangements to further the interests and sustainability of the Alliance and its Members; and
- promote the positive role of Sports Persons in the development of society and sport.
